Culture Vulture: our pick of the week’s entertainment 19/09/21

Sunday 19 September 2021 Last Man Standing: Suge Knight and the Murders of Biggie and Tupac at 9pm on BBC2 concerns how LA gang culture dominated Death Row Records and considers who was responsible for the murders of two of the world’s biggest Rap artists. It’s followed at 11pm by Boyz in the Hood (1991) which conveys a strong message about gang violence in a compelling story about three friends growing up in South Central LA.

Monday 20 September 2021 we will be setting the record button for Lou Reed: Classic Albums on Sky Arts at 3am with Lou Reed and producers David Bowie and Mick Ronson talk through how Transformer was created.


Tuesday 21 September 2021 we can’t resist Judy Garland by Marc Almond at 1130pm on Sky Arts.


Wednesday 22 September 2021 on BBC Four at 9pm Neutrino: Hunting the Ghost Particle tells the story of how scientists struggled to detect and decode the Neutrino.


Friday 24 September 2021 we will sucumb to a double dose of nostalgia when watching The Old Grey Whistle Test: Blondie in Concert on BBC4 at 11pm.
